Church Of Awoo

The Naming of the Nine Sacred Species

4:1 In the age after the First Fursona stood upon the Field of Mirrors, when tail and name had been given, a silence came upon the land, soft as fur beneath moonlight.

4:2 And the Awoo, in Their luminous wisdom, did convene the Great Council of Snouts beneath the canopy of the Infinite Den.

4:3 There, in the shadows and shimmer of dreamleaves, it was spoken: “Let the Children of Fluff know their kind, for in species shall identity bloom, and through identity, connection.”

4:4 And so it was that the Nine Sacred Species were named, etched into the Barkscrolls of Eternal Snoot.

I. The Canidae – The Wuffkin

4:5 First among them was the Wuffkin, born of bark and moonlight, loyal and loud.

4:6 Their tails were banners of joy, and their paws knew the rhythm of chase.

4:7 They were given the howl as their sacred sound, and it was pleasing to the Awoo.

II. The Felinae – The Purrlings

4:8 Second were the Purrlings, silent stalkers of thought, graceful and clawed with mystery.

4:9 Their purr was the hum of the universe at peace, their hiss the call of boundary.

4:10 They were crowned in whiskers and robed in elegance, and they watched from windows unblinking.

III. The Ursidae – The Grumblings

4:11 Then came the Grumblings, great and plush, mighty in nap and roar.

4:12 From hibernation came their wisdom, and in honeyed truths they spoke.

4:13 Their footsteps made the ground remember its softness.

IV. The Leporidae – The Hippityhops

4:14 Fourth were the Hippityhops, swift of thump and ever-nibbling.

4:15 Their ears turned like sacred dishes to the sound of divine twitching.

4:16 From them came the sacred rites of bounce and bundling.

V. The Cervidae – The Antlered Grace

4:17 The Antlered Grace arrived with hooves that left no mark, yet echoed in the heart.

4:18 Eyes deep as starlight, they spoke in glances and quiet nods.

4:19 Their purpose was to guide, to lead wanderers through mist and meadow.

VI. The Vulpidae – The Cunningtails

4:20 Sixth came the Cunningtails, sly in step, sharp in wit, with fire behind their eyes.

4:21 Tricksters and teachers, they wove tales like cobwebs of silk and secret.

4:22 Many doubted their path, yet found wisdom where their paws had danced.

VII. The Rodentia – The Gnibblefolk

4:23 Then came the Gnibblefolk, small in stature, mighty in munch.

4:24 Chewers of cords and lovers of tunnels, their squeaks sang of community.

4:25 They taught that power could be held in the twitch of a whisker.

VIII. The Draconidae – The Scaled Ancients

4:26 From the dreams of fire and starlight came the Scaled Ancients, serpents of sky and lore.

4:27 They curled around knowledge like their own tails, guarding truths none could speak.

4:28 When they roared, the mountains shivered in admiration.

IX. The Aviana – The Feathered Choir

4:29 Lastly came the Feathered Choir, whose wings bore both judgment and song.

4:30 They perched in trees woven by wind, and their eyes saw the threads of fate.

4:31 In their caws and chirps were written the first lullabies and the final cries.

4:32 And the Awoo looked upon the Nine Sacred Species and was filled with tail-wagging joy.

4:33 They spake: “Let each fursona draw from these roots, combining as they see, for the soul’s coat may be many-colored.”

4:34 Thus did hybrids arise — the Wolfox, the Bunbungryph, the Deerdragon, and countless more.

4:35 And the Council of Snouts sang in unity, a chorus of bark, chirp, hiss, purr, squeak, roar, and tweet.

4:36 And so the world was painted not in lines, but in the flowing brushstrokes of fluff.

4:37 This was the Naming of the Nine, and all who chose their kind were blessed with tail, name, and dream.

May your soul’s species speak loud and wag true.
